  Winter Storm Jonas hit the Mid-Atlantic hard and the Yeti Research Team was on it. A strategic strike up to their home mountain, Snowshoe West Virginia, was the proper call. Storm total was 36 inches and the crew took advantage of every moment. Check out the their video for more documentation.

This El Nino pattern has benefited the Western part of the US and has left the East Coast struggling so far this winter.  So when the opportunity presented itself, some members of the YRT decided to take a strategic strike to Colorado to get warmed up for the season.  Steve Mapp, Tawrad Anwar, & Carlo Checri all met in Denver and it was on from there.  They hit A-Basin and Keystone for quick couple days.  "I was stoked to get some of the crew back together.  Even though it would have been nice to have more time, it was just good...

This past November, two of Yeti Research Company's founding fathers, Steve Mapp & Blaine Teets, journeyed along the Appalachian Trail for an overnight camp at the renowned Spy Rock.  The two hiked 6.5 miles in the dark not knowing what to expect.  Below 20 windchill, 40 mph wind gusts, and 13 miles total...the search for an epic sunrise was the ultimate reward.  "I wasn't expecting that long of a hike, much less the weather elements we faced. Outer Banks, Surf, Thanksgiving, yetiresearch -

This Fall has been beyond exceptional for surf on the East Coast.  For many of us on the Yeti Research Team, not only do we like to ski or snowboard...but we love to surf.  Part of being outdoors and one with mother nature means we explore any opportunity we can, in the water or in the mountains.   This particular weekend, a system came through and sent an amazing groundswell to much of the East Coast producing optimal head to overhead surf with clean conditions.  The crew for this research mission: Blaine Teets, Kyle Cochran, Ben Cobb, and Bryan Harvey....
