As we grow as a company, finding individuals to represent YRC has been a fun process. But with all the fun, targeting people that embody a positive message and truly live the outdoor lifestyle has been a key ingredient for our brand. All that said, we'd like to welcome Kaytlin Hughes to Yeti Research Company. Based out of Salt Lake, not only does she charge big mountains, but she also is portrays a positive message while experiencing new adventures along the way. This makes her a perfect fit for YRC.

Born in Mt. Hood, Oregon, Kaytlin was raised on skis where she excelled at competitive downhill at an early age. Headed into college, Western Colorado State University, her goal was to stay competing in their NCAA race program. After her first semester, WCSU dropped their race program and Kaytlin was forced to refocus on balancing school and time on the mountain. In 2010, she joined the newly formed WCSU freeride ski team and that was all she wrote. From here, she has placed in numerous freeride competitions which has taken her travels to many parts of North America and South America.

Currently, you can find Kaytlin predominantly skiing Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah, particularly the areas of Alta and Snowbird. For those that don't know, Little Cottonwood Canyon is part of the Wasatch Front in Utah; pound for pound considered some of the best terrain in the world. Deep snow, steeps, drops & tons of backcountry access. We can see why she calls this home base and we can't wait to see how her skiing progresses in the future. Give her a follow on Instagram and check out her website to learn more!
